It's that time of the year triennial cycle again...
I just submitted a request to renew the exemption that allows breaking Digital Rights Management on 3D printers in order to use third party printing materials.
During the last cycle I wrote a quick summary of the process, and everything from then still applies today. In a just world, this will be a straightforward renewal of an unopposed renewal request.
Do we live in a just world, at least in the exceptionally narrow context of renewing 1201 exemption petitions regarding the use of third party printing materials?
